Polyester and Nylon are not that far apart when it comes to properties. Polyester is however the more used material of the two, due to its versatile proprieties.
Polyester is widely used in clothing production both as a mono material, for imitating other materials such as silk and in combination with other materials such as cotton. Polyester dries quickly and does not absorb water like for example cotton, and is therefore preferred to use in sportswear etc.
