As with all our other products, our pool slides deserve a better ending than just being discarded. Even though we strive to make products that can stand the test of time, we can not always guarantee that they will.

So, what happens to the pool slides when the upper cracks or the velcro is not working anymore? And they are sent back to us as a claim. We have searched for years for a way to recycle our pool slides, in a way that makes sense and adds value. And in 2023 we found a partner in SMALLrevolution to do just that – recycle pool slides.

SMALLrevolution is based in Copenhagen and have been working with plastic waste since 2019. They recycle otherwise unwanted plastic waste into valuable and useful products. Working with shoes was completely new to them and not something they had done before. But after a few tests they managed to find a solution so they could work with the whole pool slide.

Together with SMALLrevolution we have created podiums, that can be found not only in our showroom but also in selected retail stores. To create one podium, it requires approximately 15 kg. of material which is equivalent to around 71 pool slides.

There are people behind all our products and mistakes can therefore not be avoided completely. The important thing is therefore what we do with the products when they can no longer be used in their original shape and form.
