Code of conduct
Our Code of Conduct is a statement about values, intentions, and expectations, which all suppliers & business partners are requested to consider and adhere to in their business relations with H2O Sportswear A/S
We commit ourselves to supplying products and services of the highest quality and value for our customers. We support, respect and are proactive in our attitude towards and protection of internationally established and defined human rights.
As such, we appreciate the diversity of people and their attitudes, irrespective of sexual preferences, family situation, age, skin colour, sex, disability, religion, or ethnicity. Furthermore, we strongly reject child labour and strive to protect animals and their welfare.
We commit ourselves to always having a safe and healthy environment based on trust, teamwork, honesty, and mutual respect. We expect all of our business partners to adhere to the same principles.
We respect the models' conditions and health.
9. Code of Conduct.
All orders are subject to the H2O Sportswear A/S Code of Conduct which is equal to BSCI Code of Conduct (Business Social Compliance Initiative)
The principles of the Code of Conduct are based on:
- The International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions
- The Declarations of the United Nations Human Rights
- The OECD guidelines for multinational enterprise
- The UN Global Compact.
The BSCI Code of Conduct is handed over to and valid for all suppliers of H2O Sportswear A/S – including fabric and trim suppliers appointed by H2O Sportswear A/S.
The supplier must sign the Code of Conduct and make sure that production is managed in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
It is the responsibility of the supplier to ensure that all subcontractors (i.e. own selected fabric, trim and approved garment- and accessories- making subcontractors) also comply with the principles of the Code of Conduct.
In case national laws are applicable the supplier must be in compliance and act accordingly.
On request, suppliers must engage in “BSCI-process” which includes conducting self-assessment, capacity building and external audit of production site(s)
If it comes to the knowledge that:
- The supplier does not operate according to the principles of the Code of Conduct
- The supplier is not willing to meet the requirements of the Code of Conduct
- The Code of Conduct is violated with intent
It is considered material breach of this contract and termination of business relation may be considered.
10.Chemical restrictions.
“Oeko-Tex Standard 100” is obtained by H2O Sportswear A/S and must be followed by all fabric and trim suppliers. It is the responsibility of the garment- and accessories-making supplier to ensure that all own selected fabric and trim subcontractors also comply with the Limit Values and Fastness, Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
By following the Oeko-Tex standard 100 the fabric and trim suppliers are in compliance with EU Legislation (REACH)
Plastic and other material not covered by Oeko-Tex Standard 100 must be in compliance with EU Legislation (REACH)
Random third party test on compliance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 list of Limit Values and Fastness must be carried out upon request of H2O Sportswear A/S. Furthermore random third party tests will be carried out by H2O Sportswear A/S as well.
Any failure to comply with the standards of Oeko-Tex 100 list of Limit Values and Fastness may be considered material breach of this contract. The supplier is responsible to rectify any failures.
The Oeko-Tex standard 100 list Limit Values and Fastness is usually update every January. It is the responsibility of the supplier to keep track and comply with any changes made on www.oeko-tex.com
11. Garment containing down and feathers.
By signing this contract the supplier of garments and accessories containing downs and feathers guarantees that the down and feathers used in the products sold to H2O Sportswear A/S exclusively are by-products from birds breed for the food industry. Down and feathers that have been live-plucked is under no circumstances allowed in any products delivered to H2O Sportswear A/S.
12. Wool garment.
By signing this contract the supplier of wool garments guarantees that wool used in products sold to H2O Sportswear A/S does not come from sheep that have been exposed to mule sing.
8. Subcontractors.
If the supplier at any point during the terms of this contract wishes to use any subcontractors for garment and accessories-making, the supplier must provide full details of the subcontracting party and seek the written permission to use the subcontractor by H2O Sportswear A/S.
Use or change of subcontractors for garment and accessories making without the approval of H2O Sportswear A/S is considered material breach of this contract and termination of business may be considered.
